Pretreatment:
Untreated wooden surface
Clean the wooden surface of dirt and dust. Moisten it lightly with water, let it dry and sand off the raised wood fibers. Remove sanding dust.
A surface previously treated with e.g. sauna protection
Wash the previously treated surface and rinse thoroughly with water. Sand and remove sanding dust. If previous treatments remain under the wax, they affect the absorption of LLU Sauna Wax and thus the surface becomes more shiny.
Handling:
Mix LLU Saunawax carefully. Apply the wax in one go in the direction of the grain of the wood, only as much as is absorbed by the wood at a time. Try colored LLU Saunawax on a separate surface to make sure of the right color. After treatment Preheat the sauna before use and ventilate it well.
